All inclusive Yoga & Kayaking or Yoga Intensive Retreats in Heir Island
Off the coast of Skibbereen Co. Cork
Heir Island is a beautiful little Island off the coast of west Cork, It has 7 beaches, majestic cliffs and only 20 odd year-round residents. Retreaters will stay at the gorgeous Roaringwater Lodge Guest House run by Kevin and Amm and will enjoy delicious vegetarian cuisine. Accommodation is based on twin/double sharing with some private rooms. All rooms are en-suite.
Classes are held in a stunning purpose built retreat centre just a 2 minute lazy walk by the bay from the guest house. The centre has a beautiful studio overlooking the bay and a chill out room, therapy room, kitchenette and bathroom.
The Yoga classes will suit all levels and the weekend will include Ashtanga flow classes, focus workshops as well as meditation and pranayama sessions.
Kayaking is optional but highly recommended as the scenery around the Carbury Islands is spectacular from the water! And you don’t have to have any experience to give it a go!
For our yoga intensive weekends we substitute the kayaking for…….. more yoga. This weekend will include Ashtanga Vinyasa, Focus Workshops, Yin Yoga, Meditation and Pranayama. The level is a bit more intense than the other weekends so not suitable for total beginners. However, like in all my classes, it’s never just for advanced practitioners, and modifications and props will be offered throughout.
All Weekends Include:
Morning meditation and pranayama (breathing exercises)
All yoga classes
Daily kayak trips around the islands ( Not on yoga intensive retreat)
Led contemplative walk
All breakfasts, lunches and evening meals
April 20th – 22nd Yoga Intensive (for students who already practice yoga regularly)
June 2nd – 4th Yoga & Kayaking (for all levels from beginners to advanced)
July 13th – 15th Yoga & Kayaking (for all levels from beginners to advanced)

Prepare for your retreat
Although the yoga will be suitable for all levels including beginners, I do recommend taking a few yoga classes in the build up to the weekend if it’s been a while. This will just get you warmed up a little as there will be a lot of yoga over the retreat weekend. That being said, every class is optional so if you just want to dip in and out of the activities that’s absolutely fine.
Extra activities and therapies not included in the price:
Accupressure Massage with Ling Ling Jiang’s team
Pottery class with Kinsale Pottery and Arts Centre
All beverages from the bar extra
